Congregation Eitz Or has been blessed with many talented speakers, singers, dancers, and instrumentalists who lead services with great spirit and knowledge.

Miriam Blau is a singer, clinical psychologist, life coach, and the mother of Lisa. She has been singing her whole life. She was called onto the bima by Rabbi David Wolfe-Blank z”l 12 years ago, and since then has been a lay chazzan at Eitz Or. Leading her beloved spiritual community in singing, and inviting them into prayer with her voice, is one of the greatest blessings she has ever known.

Miriam Driss is a longtime storyteller who enjoys sharing a wide range of tales with young. old, and in between. She has conducted storytelling workshops and particularyly enjoys sharing her love of Jewish storytelling.

Barak Gale is chair of the Tikkun Olam committee for Eitz Or, a committed environmentalist, and activist in many worthwhile causes. He is known to include experiential components in services that he has led for Eitz Or that deepen the davvenning experience. Barak and his partner, Joe Puchot, lovingly host Wild Lily Cabins in Index, WA.

Tammy Lianu, MA, LMHC, is a licensed psychotherapist, yoga instructor and Jewish educator. In accordance with Reb Yerachmiel's teaching, "Emptying the self and serving the world with love are two sides of the same practice," Tammy plans to move to Thailand this Fall to work for humanitarian organizations serving Thai and Burmese women and children.

Sue Libow is an improvisational keyboard player and composer. The Shekhina flows through her music as she creates beautiful melodies to welcome the peace of Shabbat.

Steve Schwartz is the chair of the Liturgy Council and a long-time leader in Eitz Or. He has been leading the Torah services for several years. In his spare time, he’s an epidemiologist for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Pinchas (Perry) Spring is an educator and ecologist, and the founding director of Sacred Nature, a Center for Spiritual Ecology, www.sacrednature.net. In 2006 Perry completed a training in Chant Leadership under the mentorship of Rabbi Shefa Gold. He is also a Certified Meditation Teacher through Chochmat HaLev of Berkeley, CA
