Event: Shabbaton with Rabbi Fern Feldman

Welcome Rabbi Fern Feldman back to Seattle and Eitz Or for a full Shabbaton after her stirring leadership during the High Holy Days. Come take part in a deep davvening experience with spirit and song, and then stay for study with the rabbi.

Friday, Dec 1    7 pm – 8:45 pm Kabbalat Shabbat service with beautiful melodies to expand your entry into Shabbat.

Saturday, Dec 2    10 am – 12:30 pm Saturday morning services with joyous song, open prayer and meaningful Torah service following by a vegetarian potluck lunch. Bring a hearty dish to share.

Saturday, Dec 2    about 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm Chassidic Teachings on Chanukah We will learn from the series Netivot Shalom, written by the Slonimer rebbe, R. Sholom Noach Berezovsky. Living in the 20th century, the Slonimer rebbe synthesized traditions from a wide range of sources and eras. His teachings can guide us to a deeper experience of the flow of the sacred through this period of time, and help us to draw on the particular dimensions of Chanukah to improve our own ethical and spiritual qualities.

About Rabbi Fern

Rabbi Fern Feldman is a teacher, spiritual counselor and leader of prayer and ritual, whose interests include exploring the sacred dark in Jewish tradition, and non-dual approaches to gender in Kabbalah. She was ordained in 2003 by Aleph: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, and received Spiritual Direction certification from the Morei Derekh program of Yedidya. Her academic background also includes degrees in nursing and French Literature.
She also works as hypnotherapist, transpersonal life coach, and spiritual director in Seattle.
