All aboard Lady Michelle! Captain Sandy and Malia White are back for another season of Below Deck Mediterranean — and they are joined by a whole new group.
Sandy and Malia are coming back after a dramatic previous season that included the exit of Hannah Ferrier.
Hannah, who had been on the show since its debut in 2016, was dismissed by Sandy after Malia anonymously sent in a photo of the chief stew’s Valium and a vape pen onboard.
Hannah defended herself on social media after the season 5 episode aired, showing the items that Malia photographed.
“I like Malia’s arranging skills. So that’s prescribed Valium, CBD (which is legal in Spain), a lighter (not sure what this has to do with anything) and my passport holder… And for anyone who’s interested the prescription is on the other side of the box as shown… #belowdeckmed,” she tweeted in August 2020.
Both the bosun and the captain received backlash for the story line, with some fans questioning if the twosome planned it because of their dislike for Hannah.
“It’s been a lot of hate which is really sad, but the reality is I didn’t tell Hannah to behave that way. Honestly, it’s a real job and I have to do what’s right and follow Maritime Law. I will never risk my license for anybody, no matter what,” Sandy explained during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in September 2020.
For Malia, it was all about doing what was right.
“People see what they see on camera and we’re obviously filming a TV show but more than that our jobs come first,” Malia added on WWHL at the time. “We have a job and a duty first and that’s all it was it had nothing to do with drama, it had nothing to do with plot twists.”
While Sandy and Malia had a strong mentor and mentee bond during their time on Below Deck, the trailer for season 6 teases a potential fallout between the duo.

After Malia seemingly doesn’t file a report for a crew member’s injury, Sandy can’t seem to accept her excuse.
“I don’t give a f–k. You should have come to me that he was hurt,” the captain replies to Malia in the sneak peek.

Sandy Yawn (Captain)
Sandy returns as captain since her debut in 2017.
"Coming off the most trying season of her career yet, Captain Sandy hopes for a return to calmer waters and is determined to give charter guests an unforgettable experience," her Bravo bio revealed.

Katie Flood (Chief Stew)
Katie, who is a New Zealand native, is taking on the role of chief stew after Hannah's departure in 2020.
Her Bravo bio described Katie as "no stranger to managing demanding owners and charter guests."

Malia White (Bosun)
Malia is returning for her third time to the Below Deck Med franchise, but this time around she will enjoying the single life following her split from Tom Checketts in September 2020.
"This season, Malia will take on even more responsibility and pressure as she leads a new deck team and charter guests through adventurous, nature-filled excursions," her Bravo bio read.

Mathew Shea (Chef)
Mathew has wanted to be a chef since he was young and got to learn a lot from his mother, who ran a macrobiotic cooking school. His previous clients include Hugh Jackman and Rupert Murdoch.
"This season, Mathew brings his experience and passion to the galley while taking on some of the most demanding charter guests and a few unexpected challenges," his Bravo bio revealed.

Lexi Wilson (Second Stewardess)
According to her Bravo bio, Lexi's past in pageants helps her always manage "to remain glamourous and have a good time."
In the season 6 trailer, Lexi and Katie end up in an argument which leads the second stew to make a drastic decision.
"I'm like, leaving," Lexi says before returning to a phone call. While on the phone she says, "Hey mom, I'm quitting this boat."

Courtney Veale (Stewardess)
"With a sunny personality and can-do attitude, Courtney is motivated to continue to progress on the interior side while having a great time with the crew," the stew's Bravo bio described.
Courtney might also find herself in a boat romance based on the season 6 trailer. In the clip, Courtney is informed by someone off camera that she kissed one of the deckhands.

David Pascoe (Deckhand)
David has explored various jobs including a lifeguard and a care worker, before he decided to join the yachting industry.
"With experience on multiple motor yachts up to 55 meters, David is thrilled to bring his work ethic and good attitude on board mega yacht Lady Michelle," his Bravo bio explained.

Lloyd Spencer (Deckhand)
Lloyd is a deckhand who is "determined to prove his skills both on deck and in engineering," his Bravo bio revealed. Lloyd decides to join the industry after a bad motorcycle accident and based on the season 6 trailer, he might find himself with another health scare.

Mzi "Zee" Dempers (Deckhand)
The South Africa native is "ready to jump back into yachting to see the world and learn about other cultures," according to his Bravo bio.
