From June 20-June 22, believers from across the Panhandle are invited to join in a historic event of 52 hours of nonstop worship and praise at the iconic cross in Groom. In an unprecedented initiative, churches from every county in the Texas Panhandle will take part, each leading a two-hour timeslot of worship at the cross. Perryton’s Vernon Miller was badly injured during the June 15 tornado. After months of hospital and rehab stays, Vernon is back in Perryton and currently at the Seasons because he can no longer live on his own. The new services are designated primarily to fund legal representation to assist victims in obtaining protective orders, divorces, child custody, and child support.
